Walking and hiking in Champagne

We have created a series of hikes in the local area that can be enjoyed by all types of walkers, from those that want a slow stroll through the vineyards to those that like a full day out. The details of the walks are available below in downloadable PDF form and as GPX files compatible with most GPSs. Viviers-sur-Artaut – route 1

A short walk through the village, up through a small wood and across a plain, that takes you to the view point over Viviers-sur-Artaut.

Viviers-sur-Artaut – route 2

Another short walk into, and over, the vineyards, with views of Viviers-sur-Artaut, Loches-sur-Ource and Landreville.

Viviers-sur-Artaut – route 3

This hike is a little more challenging, taking you over the vineyards to the pretty village of Loches-sur-Ource, then along the river to Landreville, before returning you to Viviers-sur-Artaut.

Viviers-sur-Artaut – route 4

This interesting hike takes you to Loches-sur-Ource, then close to Essoyes, before returning to Viviers-sur-Artaut. The walk takes in two beautiful valleys of vineyards which really demonstrates the extent of grape growing in this beautiful region.

Les Riceys – Cadoles route

A beautiful walk through the forest around Les Riceys which takes you past a number of historic cadoles – shelters used by the vignerons.
