From when we first had the idea to open our home to guests we knew we wanted to offer more than just rooms. Our hope was to be able to create a personal experience, to treat our guests as we would our friends, with ease and warmth, and with a passion to leave them with happy memories. “Having never truly visited the Champagne region, we didn't really know what to expect - but what an amazing find! La Maison is a truly magnificent place to stay - and with the most wonderful hosts in Jo and Brian. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed Jo's fabulous cooking for one of those nights, whilst Brian couldn't have been a better host (plus an excellent champagne tour guide too!). Would highly recommend, and will look forward to our next visit.”

“Although having travelled widely I have never felt compelled to write a review. However, my stay at The Maison en Champagne was so perfect that I felt I had to. So if you’re looking to immerse yourself in the champagne region there can be no better or homelier place to stay than here. The rooms are beautifully and traditionally furnished with exceptional en-site facilities. Delicious breakfasts and evening meals prepared by Jo and Brian are taken in the airy salon or out in the private gardens. There is also a refreshing swimming pool and pool house with uninterrupted view of the surrounding vines.”

“I've just spent a glorious long weekend at La Maison en Champagne. My 2 friends and I had the grand Jeraboam suite, main bedroom with a second twin room and a walk in shower in the ensuite. I managed a peak in the Magnum double bedroom suite too, with its slipper bath and equally beautiful ensuite. With fabulous linen and French style decor it was wonderfully comfortable with a view over the courtyard entrance. The house has been transformed and is full of an eclectic style of everything inside and out. The pool at the top of the garden, with views to the vineyards, was perfect after long days at the Champagne festival, along with its own kitchen with refreshments and nibbles on hand. A trip to Chablis was an additional treat. Jo and Brian have a true passion and enthusiasm for France and their particular piece of heaven and Jo's meals are excellent. I can't wait to go back!”

“What a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful place is. If you are looking to escape the day to day this is for you. Situated in the heart of Champagne region and literally amongst the vines, Jo and Brian have created a calm French oasis. Their relaxed hosting is the real star of the show and only enhances the whole Experience. Jo is clearly the hostess with the mostess and Brian has a great British sense of humour. Together they are the ‘dosage’ in the Champagne!! What Brian doesn’t know about drinking Champagne isn’t worth knowing. Generous and relaxed - they are the perfect hosts. The room - we stayed in Magnum- is beautiful with crisp white linen, gorgeous slipper bath, separate rainfall shower and plenty of hot water. The pool is the icing on the cake- perfect Temperature for chilling off after a hot day and the views are stunning. We have travelled 5 star extensively and our stay at La Maison en champagne has just become our new favourite. Thanks again Jo and Brian 🥂”

“Staying at "La Maison en Champagne" was like visiting long-lost friends in a perfectly relaxed setting. The delicious home cooked meals, carefully selected local champagne and wine, attention to lots of detail and maybe most importantly, the hospitality and humor of our hosts Jo & Brian were much appreciated. “A beautiful house, stunning surroundings, delicious locally sourced produce and champagne with phenomenal hospitality. What more can you ask for? We arrived to a warm and relaxed welcome from Brian and Jo who settled us in with personal touches everywhere - personalised note with the menu, tailored menu for my dietary requirements, extra towels for our dip in the pool to open the summer season. The evening was perfect with canapés and champagne in the garden followed by dinner as the sun set and we transitioned to summer al fresco candle lit dinner. The rooms are beautifully decorated with French detail and modern requirements (fantastic shower, super comfortable bed etc). Recommend for a romantic getaway for 2 couples or a girls weekend for 4-6ppl.”

“Paul and I had a very warm welcome to this very charming bed & breakfast. Set in the heart of the champagne region, we were lucky enough to be here for the grape harvest. Jo and Brian taught us a lot about the food, champagne and the history of the area which was very interesting.We ate very well indeed with excellent home cooked food and were able to really relax in their beautiful pool and gardens. Very comfortable room with gorgeous bathroom. Loved every minute of our five days here and are looking forward to going back soon.
