It was another gorgeous autumn day, so we decided to do some tidying up in the garden. First the slope was going to get its first cut for weeks. With the drought we just hadn’t needed to cut the grass.
With the little rain we’d had last week, it was enough to start the grass growing again. Little patches of green could be seen, so lovely to see it coming back to life.
With the slope mowed and strimmed we set about pruning one of the plum trees. I started by taking off some of the lower, easy to reach, branches, whilst brian went to get the ladder to reach further up the tree. It was in need of a really good prune. I wasn’t certain if we had left it a bit late, but my view was better late than never.
Let’s see now how things go for it next year.
