We’ve been enjoying some beautiful bright blue skies—crisp days, but not too chilly, perfect for going for an autumn walk. Our friend Marie was visiting her family this weekend, so we suggested she popped round and we would go for a walk up to our village view point.
The vineyards are looking gorgeous with their leaves changing to hues of orange, red, and yellow. Autumn is such a beautiful time of year in the Champagne region.
It always fascinates me that the rows of vines change colour at different times due to when they were picked or when they were pruned. It creates the look of a patchwork blanket wrapping around the village.
Over the coming weeks, the vines will start losing their leaves, but they truly go out with style, and a vibrant cheerio.
