White out!

Due to the canicule (heatwave), which we are currently experiencing, we have noticed that some of our smaller roads have been coated with a white paint.

We first saw this on our trip to southern France, where we discovered the reason was to prevent the tarmac from melting, and we wondered how long it would be before our, more northern, district joined in. it took just two years.

Such a simple idea, but one that truly works.
