Pomme au four

On Sunday, we discovered an apple festival was happening at the Moulin de Dosches. We’d visited the windmill earlier this year, but I was happy to revisit it to see how their little garden was looking after the summer.

On the way in we met some rather lovely ponies.

I have to say the garden was still looking rather beautiful. I love how they have incorporated structural elements into the natural environment of the garden.

We popped our heads in to watch the baker making some brioche and bread, and also baking some sweet apples inside a flaky crust, they proved to be rather delicious with a hot cup of black coffee.

We visited the moulin, or at least Brian did…

…and then bought some flour produced in the actual mill, along with some gorgeous bread they’d baked.
