Flower power

Knowing how much I love flowers my friend gave me a gorgeous bunch of cut flowers last week, which was enough to fill quite a few vases.

This week, at the market, the flower man was back after his summer break, and had a superb display of fresh flowers on offer. I was very tempted to buy a bunch to freshen up my displays at home, but I felt it was a bit extravagant.

Brian came over, as he could see I was torn. He suggested I should actually buy a couple of bunches as they looked so gorgeous, and wonderfully colourful, and use them to help my friends flowers last even longer. Great minds think alike, as they say.

I love filling the house with colour. It’s a delight for me, as well as a pleasure for our guests arriving this week.
